Dear Erasmus+ Students! International Relations Office and Welcome Point of the University of Bielsko-Biala invite your for orientation days, which will take place at the University’s campus from 2^nd till 6^th of October 2023.

Orientation days are the time for our integration and building friendly space for next months!

Day I:  Monday, 02/10, 10:00 am – 15:00 pm

10:00 am -Orientation Days official opening by Vice-Rector for Students Affairs and Education – Professor Tomasz Knefel
10:15 am - “Welcome at the University of Bielsko-Biala” – Aleksandra Hasior MA, Institutional Coordinator of Erasmus+ Programme at the University of Bielsko-Biala
10:30 am - “Welcome Point ready for new academic year” – Dagmara Mika PhD – Head of International Relations Office
10:45 am - Academic year schedule and main organisation information – Dagmara Mika PhD
11:15 am - Coffee break
11:25 am - Campus tour - Bartosz Dębowski MSc International Relations Office
11:45 am - Culture similarities and – integration workshops - Dagmara Mika PhD
12:15 pm - Bielsko-Biala – the city of various possibilities – Bartosz Dębowski MSc
13:00 pm - Lunch
14:00 pm - Office issues (confirmation of arrival, delivering documents, etc.)
15:00 pm - Closing the first day

Day II:  Tuesday, 03/10, 10:00 am – 15:00 pm

10:00 am - “Survival Polish” - workshops – Lidia Romaniszyn-Ziomek PhD – Head of Polish Language Centre at the University of Bielsko-Biala
11:30 am - What to know about Poland and what can you surprise – Bartosz Dębowski MSc
12:15 pm - Places worth to see in Poland and near the city – Dagmara Mika PhD and Bartosz Dębowski MSc
13:00 pm - Lunch
14:00 pm - Office issues (confirmation of arrival, delivering documents, etc.)
15:00 pm - Closing the first day

Day III: Wednesday, 04/10, 9:00 am – 16:00 pm  "Pętla Beskidzka" trip
WHERE: Students dormitory, ul. Spółdzielców 11, 43-300 Bielsko-Biała

08:45 am - Meeting in front of the dormitory
09:00 am - Mountain volunteer rescue service GOPR – study visit in Szczyrk
10:00 am - Węgierska Górka – important point on local map during the Second World War
11:30 am - Ochodzita restaurant – lunch
13:30 pm - Wisła – the city well known due to winter sport activities and the Presidents’ winter residence
16:00 pm - Students dormitory

Day IV: Thursday, 05/10, 9:00 am – 15:00 pm
WHERE: City center

08:45 am - Meeting at the Hotel President bus stop in the city center
09:00 am - Town Hall – meeting with representatives of Bielsko-Biala authorities
09:30 am - Bielsko-Biała Youth Council – projects and activities undertaken by young people in the town
10:00 am - Town Hall sightseeing
10:15 am - Bielsko-Biała guided tour
11:45 am - Sułkowski Castle – guided tour
13:30 pm - Lunch
14:30 pm - Buying tickets and organization issues
15:00 pm - Closing part

Day V: Friday, 06/10, 9:00 am – 15:00 pm
WHERE: University of Bielsko-Biala, Welcome Point, ul. Willowa 2, Building L, room 402

10:00 am - Meetings with the Erasmus+ Coordinators
